Laminators are different kind based on the uses,technology and lamination process.

Mainly laminators are two type roll laminator and pouch laminator.Roll laminator are further divided into two categories one is heated roll laminator and cold roll laminator.Pouch laminator are normally used in house and office.Puch laminator are basically scaled and laminated on one sided better way can say that the substrate side of the board contains a heat-activated adhesive that bonds the print to the substrate.In roll laminator the lamination film is used which are formed in a rolling way inside the laminator.When the lamination process start the two roll are used to complete the lamination process.Mainly used for laminate any graphics material or photo.In that cae one roll placed upper of the page and one placed at bottom.So that help to laminate two sided.Film thickness in the roll laminator are used normally in .5, 3, 5, 7 and 10 mil.The main uses of Cold laminating processes are coating sheet glass or stainless steel with protective films and mainly used in the print industry where magazine front page are coated,high quality graphics material are quoted etc.Cold laminator is based for those material which can be damaged by heat.

In the above image ts too clear that that process are using to laminate in a industrial requirement.Many pouch laminators require the use of a carrier.Though now a days lot of manufacturer company are saying they are not using any carrier in the lamination process.A bassic uses of roll laminator can say help to laminate large volumes of small documents, or wide documents such as maps, posters, banners and more.Where the pouch laminator are used provide an easy and practical way to preserve documents such as signs, menus, business cards and much more.But as both of the process gives the lamination which means it help to protect any material from damage.

Standard home,shops or office laminating machines normally use 80–250 micro metre or MIC thicked pouch.Though that vary as machine to machine.The costing of pouch depend upon their thickness,less thickness means cheaper where 250 mic pouch are costly than 100 mic pouch. The most common pouch thicknesses for a laminating machine is are 3, 5, 7 and 10 mil.The rollers of the laminator machine are made of a soft rubber material that is compressed. Removing a wrap-around pouch with scissors or a knife poses a risk of cutting the roller itself. If the roller is even slightly kicked, it can produce flaws in future lamination project.Like carteges in printer , the cost of roller is too high and most costly parts in the laminator.Replacing a roller is most costly rather tan buy a low end lamination machine. .
